Radio

Following my somewhat weak at the knees gig announcement t'other day, I was made even more smug to learn that I got played on last nights edition of Exotic Pylon (the radio beast from which Jonny Mugwump sows his twice weekly seeds of sonic discombobulation).

It really is the best radio show in the world you know. I've ripped the general approach and vibe off horrendously on Worst Chips Ever ever and without the support of JM and certain other total fucking bloody heroes who have encouraged me to keep going with whatever the cock it is that I'm doing... well I probably wouldn't be bothering.

So aye, get involved.

I have also been very kindly invited to takeover (musically..strictly non hostile violent bloke and that) next weeks edition of the show, which is gonna include an hour and a half long mixtape of shit I'm into with the odd SC edit and added horrid ineptitude FX spat on top... then a half hour pre-recorded live performance straight from the front room of my flat to put you off yer dinner.

For the mixtape you can expect a blah of junk weirdo stuff. Kind of poops I'd drop on my own radio show every week but with much more emphasis on creating summat you can get proper lost in. I've had a blast putting it together. Esoteric bass/hate noise/sound poet pretence patho psyche/some stuff you can actually dance to that doesn't sound like me doing a shite impersonation of David Keenan doing a shite impersonation of Lester Bangs like them descriptions I just wrote.

I'll write more about the live performance after the episode goes out... it's improvised like so I would have to improvise a preview sentence and I can't be arsed.

Sticking with radio radio radio, I was a guest on Charmicarmicat a few weeks back, chatting some shite, namechecking a 90's Premier League footballer and pulling out some tunes from my musty sack of stale MP3's. Was also talkin' Mississippi Records with my brothers in arms The Awkward Sons of Patrick Stewart a while back too
